"You have the right to remain unfinished."

A Dark Humor RPG about a girl who wakes up with no memories…
and finds herself trapped in a place that doesn't make sense.
Nothing is explained. Nothing is working properly.
And that's exactly how it starts.

🧪 About This Demo

This version is rough, buggy, and full of trial and error.
I’ve watched hundreds of tutorials, read through countless forum threads,
and still feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface. IT"S CAN'T EVEN PLAY !

But this is me trying.
And I’m proud of how weird and broken it turned out.
There’s no proper main menu. That’s not a joke.
There are two separate EXEs one for “New Game,” one for “Continue.”
It’s ridiculous. I know. But I kinda love it.

👤 Who Made This?

Hi, I’m KururuYaki.
I’m learning how to make games and this is my first deep dive.
I’m still figuring out how to code, how to make art,
how to design gameplay, and how to tell stories in an interactive way.

This project is messy. But I hope you find something in it.

🎵 Music & AI Notice

Some tracks were made using Suno AI,
based on melodies I came up with and had the AI help finalize.
In the future, I hope to either compose music myself or collaborate with real musicians.
But for now — this was my way of making it sound just a little more finished.

🧠 What’s This Game Even About?

  • A girl with no memories

  • A broken system

  • Justice, dreams, digital ghosts

  • And maybe... something watching you

📝 Thank you

If you play this, even just for a minute — thank you.
This world isn’t finished. Neither am I.
But that’s okay.

This is just for promote on Game Festival+3 from Thailand
But someday, we’ll finish the story together.

See you in the next update.
Maybe with an actual menu.

despite it being a short demo i thought it was very fun and distinct, i really liked the humor and art and like the overall style was very refreshing to me, the game made me giggle even before i opened it! (when trying to open the new game.exe), also i think it's really cool how you managed to convey so much personality in such little time, within the first few minutes i already liked the main character and the narrator as characters! I personally tend to get bored with games pretty easily but this one had me hooked from the start, i hope i can see a full release in the future :)

also if you choose to fully compose the game's music yourself in the future i hope you have a fun experience doing so! making music can be pretty cool

An interesting little demo!

There isn't a lot here, so I can't comment about much, but here are some of the positives I found in the few minutes of playtime I had :

- Art and Animation. The art looks good and the characters are very expressive even with the limited amount of detail afforded by the art-style. The character design is well done and you get a good general vibe of what their personality might be just by looking at them.

- Sound design. There is no music (apart from one instance which I will comment on later) but the "voices" (the unique sounds accompanying character dialog) are well made. Obviously very reminiscent of the character voices in Undertale and Animal Crossing, but that's a good thing.

- Game design. Not sure what to call this or how to describe it exactly, but the game FEELS like it has secrets and easter eggs. Honestly I'm still wondering if I've missed a whole secret game or something. The only thing I've found is that by choosing "new game" over and over the game comments on it before eventually looping. I mean the whole continue vs new game thing, that feels like an obvious "SECRET HERE" flashing sign, but if it is then I'm too stupid to figure it out lol.

Now here are some things which could use some work :

- The dialog. The dialog itself is fine, the demo is so short I can't comment much on its overall quality. HOWEVER, there is some bad spelling and badly phrased sentences. From the description it seems the team is from Thailand, so I don't blame them for this, but this point is still important to note.

- The controls. Now I don't know if this is an issue on my end, but it took me a while to figure out that the "z" key was the main action key. I walked aimlessly around the elevator for a while before figuring out I had to press "z" to continue the dialog.

- The music. From the description it seems that AI was at least partially used for the song that plays during the fight. As AI steals from artists and is extremely polluting, I would HIGHLY recommend that it be removed from a potential future version. An unfinished, unpolished song made by a human will always be better than anything made by or with the help of AI.

Overall I think it definitely has potential, and I will be keeping an eye out for what the developer(s) decide to do with it in the future.

And if it turns out that I am just stupid and there is actually a hidden layer behind this game, then that would be very funny. Seriously though, I keep wondering if I missed something...

Oh my gosh

I honestly didn’t expect someone to play this so soon,

let alone leave such a thoughtful comment my jaw literally dropped 😭💥

Thank you so, so much for taking the time to write all of this.

This demo is far from perfect, but it’s something I really wanted to presented.

There are still so many ideas I haven’t even touched yet, and I’m hoping to pour more love into this project as I learn!

💬 About the dialog:

You’re absolutely right English isn’t my first language (I’m from Thailand!), and while I like to think I’m kinda good at it, writing natural dialogue is still really hard. This is something I’ll keep improving on for sure ✨

🎵 About the music:

I completely agree with your concerns. I used AI only to help polish a melody I had in mind, because I didn’t have the skill (or budget) to make it myself. It’s not ideal, and it’s something I hope to grow out of.

One day, I want to fully compose the music myself or maybe even work with real musicians!

Thank you for bringing it up so respectfully

🎮 About controls + secrets:

Z being the action key isn’t super intuitive, I’ll definitely work on making that clearer in future builds.

Also... hehehe… let’s just say you’re not wrong to be suspicious about the New Game thing.

Thanks again for this amazing feedback.

Hope you stick around and see where The Miranda Rights goes next 💕💖
